(RHC) offers full service diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitation services for problems of the hand and upper extremity. By restricting our practice anatomically "from the fingertips to the shoulder" we can provide coordinated, comprehensive care under one roof for virtually all problems from the skin to the bone. Over the last several decades, enormous strides have been made in the understanding and treatment of hand and upper extremity problems. We have followed the trend seen throughout the country with the establishment of a center dedicated exclusively to hand and upper extremity pathology. We are the only medical practice in eastern North Carolina dedicated specifically to this field of medicine. Equally important, for patients with upper extremity emergencies, the RHC is the only physician group available in Raleigh with fellowship-trained hand surgeons on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are an independent medical practice not controlled by any outside institutions. The physicians and therapists at the RHC keep abreast of the latest developments through weekly hand conferences and national and international meetings. We are an active teaching center that assists in the training of orthopedic residents and occupational therapy students. However, if a patient seen at the RHC requires surgery, it will be performed by your treating physician.
