Welcome to Raleigh Hand Center
The Raleigh Hand Center (RHC) has served North Carolina since 1988, providing care exclusively to patients with hand and arm problems. RHC offers diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitation services to patients with problems of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Through specialization, we are able to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients in one location. The clinic combines the expertise and camaraderie of five fellowship-trained orthopaedic hand surgeons and on-site hand therapists. RHC is the largest hand and upper extremity practice from the Outer Banks to the foothills of North Carolina.
For patients with upper extremity emergencies, the RHC is the only physician group available in Raleigh with a fellowship-trained hand surgeon on-call 24 hours per day. Patients with urgent problems can be seen by a physician on the same day or next day in many cases. Every patient is evaluated by a compassionate, fellowship-trained physician, and surgery is only recommended after considering non-surgical options. From minor cuts to major hand injuries, the RHC physicians and therapists strive to restore function and improve quality of life. We would be honored to treat you or your loved one.
RHC physicians treat patients from all age groups – from infants with congenital hand conditions to the elderly with osteoarthritis. We treat patients with acute injuries such as lacerations, fractures, and sports injuries, and chronic problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome, hand tumors, tendonitis, and arthritis. In order to optimize rehabilitation after an injury or surgery, RHC doctors work closely with certified hand therapists (CHTs), occupational therapists, and physical therapists. RHC physicians coordinate with primary care physicians, cardiologists, rheumatologists, and neurologists for patients with complex medical problems. Our orthopaedic hand clinic in Raleigh treats patients from the North Carolina Triangle area, eastern North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. For patients with a long drive, we can often coordinate care with a provider closer to home after just a few visits to Raleigh.
